The neo® Multi is Holtronic’s patented, resettable electronic indicator. It monitors temperature continuously throughout a journey, flags a breach the moment your defined limit is crossed, and resets in seconds using the dedicated Holtronic reset unit — ready to go straight back into service.
Every neo® Multi shares the same rugged housing, CR2032 battery, IP54 rating and internal NTC sensor — what changes between models is the temperature range they’re built to watch. Pick the variant that matches your product’s critical limits.
Each unit ships 100% tested with its own unique serial number, so every indicator is traceable back to an individual monitoring event.
Press and hold the button on the neo® Multi for 2 seconds. The green “Power on” LED flashes three times to confirm activation, then continues flashing at a steady interval to show the unit is monitoring. Depending on the model, monitoring begins immediately or after a short start delay. RF and RH build in a 30-minute delay before recording starts, while RE uses 30 minutes and RG a 30-minute delay from reset.

Attach the indicator to the product, pallet or package and send it on its way. No app, reader or network connection is needed for it to keep working — it records independently for the length of the journey.

If a defined limit is breached for the set duration, the corresponding LED flashes to flag it — for example, the RE model’s red “DO NOT SERVE” LED flashes once the temperature has exceeded 8°C for more than 4 cumulative hours. The RF, RG and RH models use lettered LEDs (A–E) to show exactly which threshold — high or low, single-event or cumulative — has been crossed.

Before resetting, connect the external Holtronic neo UART Dongle to pull a full record from the unit: serial number, uses remaining, each alarm threshold and its duration setting, start delay, elapsed time, breach/no-breach status, time of breach and the current temperature reading.

Insert the indicator into the Holtronic reset unit and hold for 2 seconds until the RESET LED flashes. The reset unit is Holtronic’s patented mechanism — resets can only happen through this dedicated tool, so every reset is a deliberate, controlled action. Each unit supports up to 90 resets or 90 days of active life, whichever comes first; once that limit is reached, the REPLACE LED flashes on the next reset attempt to signal the unit is due for retirement.

It’s Holtronic’s resettable electronic temperature and time indicator. A single unit that monitors temperature-sensitive products and can be reset for reuse across multiple journeys, rather than being thrown away after one trip.
Scan the QR code printed on the front of the indicator. It links straight through to a Holtronic web page where you can view and download that unit’s individual calibration certificate.
Clip the indicator into the supplied reset unit, then press and hold the button for 2 seconds until the RESET LED flashes. Once it flashes, the indicator can be taken out of the reset unit and is ready to activate for its next journey.

It’s a fit anywhere temperature-sensitive goods move repeatedly through a return-to-base supply chain — food safety, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and cold chain logistics all use it across a range of temperature bands.
Yes. It can only be reset using the dedicated Holtronic reset unit, which prevents anyone from accidentally or deliberately resetting the device out in the field, keeping every recorded monitoring cycle trustworthy.
Every reset avoids a disposal event that a single-use indicator would otherwise create — over up to 90 reuse cycles per unit, that adds up to a substantial cut in electronic waste versus replacing an indicator after each journey.
The indicator itself operates reliably across -20°C to 60°C. Within that range, each model (RE, RF, RG or RH) is built to flag breaches of its own specific high and low thresholds.
It depends on the model. The RE model uses a single red “DO NOT SERVE” LED for its one high-temperature limit. The RF, RG and RH models use individual lettered LEDs (A through E), each tied to a specific threshold and duration — for instance, one LED flashes for a short single-event dip below a low limit, while another flags a longer cumulative excursion above a high limit.
Yes, Beyond the four standard RE, RF, RG and RH configurations, custom threshold and duration settings can be specified to match your product’s exact requirements. Contact the team to discuss a custom build.
Every model shares the same compact footprint: 24.6mm x 44.5mm x 5.8mm and 6g. Small and light enough to attach directly to individual products, not just outer packaging.
